Few people realize this, but the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) was created during the Vietnam War to streamline the delivery of supplies to troops. At first, it was just Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
The original idea was to develop a type of ammunition that could be assembled in the field that fired cigarettes and was powered by beer. Some of the more eco-friendly ATF agents were even working ways to use cigarette butts to shoot glass shards from empty bottles. After years of development, the one successful test was too expensive to deploy, and the war was finally winding down anyway. They also found that their projectiles were too light weight to be effective at long range.
Ashamed that they had wasted millions of dollars on failed research, the head of the ATF teamed up with the head of the FBI, who suggested they add Explosives on to the end of their name to make them look more official. And if you are playing with beer, cigarettes, and guns, you might as well play with illegal fireworks too.

New idea for an internet startup company: iTube It's based on youtube, but with a little bit of iTunes thrown in. In other words, you can download movies that are full of DRM stuff. If anyone knows any venture capitalists, go ahead and send 'em my way. I'm gonna be rich!

I just realized that the number pad on computers is different from the one on phones. Phones and maybe some other devices, like ATMs, order the numbers 1->9. Computers, on the other hand, go 7->9; 4->6; 1->3. The only part that is even close is on most number pads is the 0.
Obviously they can't both be right. I plan on looking into this more when, I get a chance. I'm also considering ways to rectify this situation. More later... (in theory)Random Thought

Wow... Popeye is a jerk... What do you do if your girlfriend falls through the ice while ice skating? Yank her out of the freezing water, then proceed to laugh you ass off at her. Don't go grab a blanket or be helpful in any way, despite the icicles forming on her. Just bust a gut. Then, when she rightfully gets pissed, feel free to act sad and heartbroken. That's not selfish at all. Keep up the good work, Popeye. That's some real chivalry in action there. Jerk.Random Thought

I've seen a lot of stuff on YouTube, but there's one thing I think everyone can agree is missing. A banjo and kazoo version of Bohemian Rhapsody. "Is this the real life?" *TWANG* "Is this just fantasy?" *BUZZ* "Caught in a landslide, no escape from reality." *BUTWANGUZZ* ...etcMy Too Sense

Wouldn't it be awesome if babies were born with adult-sized hands a feet, but tiny arms and legs? And maybe certain features of the head, like the mouth and ears.Don Knotts in a box

So today, I found out that I can do a surprisingly good impression of Don Knotts in a box, with the assistance of two styrofoam cups with holes in them.
For obvious reasons, this is pretty exciting. I think I want to add it to my resume, but I don't know if that'd go under "outside interests" or "skills"Random Thought
